Meet James Saunders, a 2023 graduate of Bulloch County’s Georgia’s High School High Tech Program and high school. He attributes High School High Tech for helping him to make clear decisions about his life from the knowledge and wisdom he gained. After graduation, James began work at the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department but recently decided to resign to resume full-time ministry as a community leader mentoring young professionals through a mental health program called One Direction. The program helps boys in grades 6-8 learn various skills to help them become better citizens. Participants learn various skills such as how to change tires and oil, self-advocate for themselves, how to become role models of good citizenship. One Direction addresses the needs of boys with learning challenges and the need to develop their leadership skills. James works with other leaders and mentors to develop game plans to show these boys what they need to learn to become great leaders. Congratulations, James, for your contributions to your community!
